SECURE8 MEMBERS There are 3 main ways that a member can use our system. SECURE8 recommends that members register property before property is lost or stolen (Pre-Theft / Loss Registration). This will provide members with a detailed record of what they own, making the identification of lost or stolen property fast and easy to locate. Members will also have the added advantage of being able to print out a lost / stolen report which can be submitted to police and insurance companies.
Members would register items of property online via the current email system (or mail) on site registration coming soon. This would link the registered items as being the property of that member, listed by a serial number, model, ID code (engraved or permanently marked) and a basic description.
The member may access a pre-recorded list of their property, allowing them
to quickly and easily register their property as stolen or lost as all the
details are already on the database. Members will be able to print out a
detailed list of the stolen property. This list may be given to Police and
insurance companies to assist with item recovery and claims.
Using this method the victim of a theft or burglary could register the items as stolen. If the stolen property is offered for sale or recovered by Police (in any state) it can be easily identified as stolen property.
This method will also work if property has been lost and details of the item(s) are known. For example, serial number, model number and brand.
Members would register ID codes which are engraved or permanently marked on items for identification purposes. This will give members property one common number that can be traced back to the owner- this is particularly useful for property without serial numbers.
SECURE8 recommends that members use THE standard POLICE code that can be linked back to them for easy identification by Police.
